Planet Money – Find Out

Why Planet Money is Remarkable . . .

Planet Money is a podcast produced by National Public Radio and contains segments on different economic issues. It could be job creation techniques, jobs created by politicians, or where to find the not so obvious job for all levels of workers.

Planet Money has offerings that are very well produced and thoroughly thought out. They are insightful and help even the average Joe figure out what’s going on in our current economy of financial crisis and protracted recession.

Planet Money is a full service site available at http://www.npr.org/blogs/money/ it offers the podcasts, blogs and a multitude of information regarding the world of money. The site ranks 805 on Alexa’s ranking list. Planet Money is definitely worth your time and attention because it will help you to understand the greater economic forces around your current personal economic state.

I listened to a podcast that brought up the question regarding politicians who promise more jobs. It pointed out through various segments that the politicians have very little immediate impact on jobs. It brought out the fact that local governments are very into poaching businesses from each other and it had little positive spin for any governmental body being able to produce jobs.

All I can say is “Well done!, Planet Money”. I have bookmarked the site to listen to their twice weekly podcasts and there is a free subscription service to have it downloaded automatically to your desktop if you like.

Planet Money and NPR also back up their effort with a beautiful and fascinating website. It was enjoyable to click around while listening to the podcast and see what else the site provided. There is something for everyone just go to Planet Money and see what you can learn or at least understand more about your current finances and the world that drives the larger forces behind the individuals.

Planet Money is a must visit so go ahead and click over there now. You will be happily surprised.
